Monday 4th January and another Lockdown!
Well here we are again entering Lockdown 3. It had to happen, but I really do feel for everyone who suffers finacially, physically and mentally. When will it all end? I'm afraid it's going to be a long, long time before we get even close to some kind of normality.
We went for a walk on Cleveleys beach today and it was wonderful. At least living near the sea is something we can be thankful for. On a day like today, frosty, but no wind and well wrapped up, it was just what we both needed. On our return to the car, Aniello noticed a scarf tied to the top of a bench and realised it was one of mine. I must have lost it from the last walk we did, which was a few days ago. Amazing that we found it and thank you to whoever it was that put it there. I didn't even notice I'd lost it!
When we got home I decided to take the tree down, but not before another little photoshoot with Ruby. She'll do anything for a treat!
We're missing Nino now. We haven't seen him for a couple of days. Thank goodness for Facetime!. They are in our bubble so we're going to see him tomorrow all being well.
I'm off to buy a new lens now to cheer myself up. Until next time :D

2nd of January.
We didn't do much today apart from going down to North Pier to watch the starlings. A lovely sight as always and the added bonus of a beautiful sunset. It was so cold though. Kasia brought hot chocolate again which was lovely and so good to see our little Nino again. 2 days on the run!
And that's it! Very boring day.
Some photos of the starlings..

Happy New Year 2021
I made a start this morning on having a sort out in the house. It's ridiculous the amount of useless bits and bobs I have. I'm officially a hoarder! I need to do a bit each day and hopefully by Summer the house content will be minimal. That's my goal anyway.
My sister-in law Janet bought me a diamond painting kit for Christmas which I started on Boxing Day. Love it. I've done a few now and they're so addictive.
My aim is to try and do at least a couple of posts a week now so fingers crossed I can stick to it.

Last few hours of 2020
Well here we are! The last few hours of what has been the worst year of mine, and so many people's lives. Hopefully the New Year will see an end to the damage Covid-19 has done to the world, and we can get back to some semblance of normality once more.
Losing my beloved Mum at the end of March has been the hardest and worst experience I've ever suffered. I was so lucky to have her in my life for almost 65 years. It doesn't make it easier to lose her though, maybe harder because we were so close. She's left a huge hole in my life, but I wouldn't wish her back to be suffering again as she did for the last two years of her life. I'm just so thankful we had that extra time for her to meet Nino and get to know him a little. Also for me to care for her and show her how much I loved her. My only regret is that she died alone in that hospital room. Because of this evil virus it couldn't be helped, but it made the pain of losing her so much worse. At least she's at peace and missed out on all the anxious times we've all had since the realisation of how devastating the virus has been.
We are now in Tier 4, which is basically lockdown so New Year's Eve will be so different for us all this year. I'll be spending it watching Dougie Munro, as I have all through the first lockdown and ever since. Him and his lovely family have kept me entertained and I'm looking forward to seeing the New Year in with a true Scot!

Praying with all I have in me that this next year will be a much better one!
See you all in 2021!
