Father's Day 2016

Yesterday was Father's day. I miss Dad so much and wish he was here for me to have a chat to. I often wonder what he'd make of what's going on right now re the Euro situation. I've voted to stay but almost changed my mind. The only thing that stopped me was worry about what could happen if we're on our own. I think I know how Dad would have voted and that would have been out with a capital O. He hated the way our once wonderful country is going.
Anyway back to yesterday. We had a lovely Euro themed buffet at Jo and Allan's. They really went to town on creating the foods of several different European countries to tie in with the football and the referendum. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and chat. We talked about old Blackpool and our kids seemed very interested in our tales of growing up in this once fabulous seaside resort. We are on the up again but it's going to take a very long time to get even halfway to what we once had here. I still love my hometown with a passion though and consider myself so fortunate to live here, warts and all. Here are a few photos of the day. Miss my Dad :(
